Donald Farlough - murder victim

My son Donald was a good and loving son who would give the shirt off his back to help someone, whether he knew them or not. He loved drawing, cutting hair, music and life itself. He was always a happy person and always put others first. His favorite color is blue. He loved to make jokes and make people laugh.

Donald is the youngest of two sons, born August 31, 1974.

On January 16, 1996, my son Donald was shot down in cold blood. Detectives working the case said he was shot five times in the head, chest, side and shoulder. No one has ever been arrested for his murder. My family and myself have never given up hope that his killers will one day pay for what happened to him.

Donald's favorite Bible stories are in the book of Revelations. He would talk about how he read in the Bible about how the streets were paved with gold and how beautiful it must be in heaven. I sometimes take comfort when I think about how he is in such a Godly place where there is no more hatred and killing, and where there is nothing but peace and quiet all the time.

We miss Donald very much; not a day goes by when I don't think about him and miss him. I still have a hard time believing he is really gone.

Donald, My love you and your brother are my life. I know with the help of God we will somehow be able to go on. But baby, I need for you to know that in my heart I will take each step with you, each breath thinking of you. Baby, when I draw my dying breath, I know we will all be together again. Pemie, first of all let me say that I'm very sorry for your loss. I wont say that I know what you are going through because I don't. All I know is that a lot of people that I love and care about are in a lot of pain and it's not fair. I wish there was something I could say or do that would help ease the pain but unfortunately there isn't. What I can do is keep you in my prayers and try to be there if you need me. God has plans that we don't always understand . He also takes care of all of his children and he's always there even when to us it doesn't seem that way. I pray that God will keep you and your family, and if there's anything I can do don't hesitate to ask.

Angels crossing over bridge
They wait for you to see
Light that shines so brightly
Illuminates life so naturally

Water down below reflects
Angel's gentle wings
Beauty is a part of joy
The wonder nature brings

So calming is this water

Floral scents of love increase
