I still think about Tom often. He was an incredible person...I still have a note he wrote to me in religion class our
Sophomore year. I went to visit his grave recently when I was in Knoxville but was unable to find it. It took quite a while to get to the point of thinking about him and not being sad, but now I smile every time I remember him. If I had to describe Tom in 2 words, it would be silly & reliable. He made me laugh but I always knew I could count on Tom. I miss him.

I was privileged to call Tom a friend throughout high school. He was an extremely talented individual, and more importantly, he was an outstanding person and wonderful friend. My Neighbor's son was murdered (15 months old) his killer received 27 years. I can only pray that they will not parole him after seven years. In the state I live in a Police Officer was murdered and his killer received life without parole. I guess a fifteen-month-old's life is not as important. Very angry
at our system. So sorry for your loss.

Rarely a day goes buy that I do not think about Tom. On the rear-view mirror of my truck hangs a Rosary. This is the same Rosary that Ann Langdon

i recently noticed that many unjustifiable homicides are more and more common in
America. convicts are given more privileges than ever before. someone should put an end to this. my
condolences to the family and friends of Thomas Baer and the prayer that God would punish all deserve to be punish and to bless the innocent.
I'm quite confident your son is in a better place just like my girlfriend who

Six years for taking a life..(!)
When a friend's daughter got brutally murdered in 2001, the murderer was sentenced to 10 years...( First degree) And if he is a good boy he will be out after 5 years. This is the justice in sweden. I read in the paper today that a drug dealer is going to serve 10 years too. Beautiful 18 year old Jennifer's life was not worth more. It really stinks, and I think know what you feeling.

This is a very beautiful site and you had a very handsome son. My only sibling was murdered 8/10/2001 by a so called friend. He intervened in a domestic dispute took the beaten woman and was trying to get her to safety and 3 people followed him stopped his car he was
beat, ran over, and left in the road for dead. I get some comfort from this site because i know i am not

I am very sorry to read about Tom's death. I work at a probation office in Georgia. I believe justice was not served in this case. It is unbelievable to hear that someone only served 7 1/2 years for murder. I have had people serve more than that for DUI. You have my

Hi. Tom was a friend and brother. I was in Memphis on that terrible night. When Scott Walkup called me, Tom was still living. By the time Scott called me back, Tom was gone. He was a fine young man.
